Celebrating ready-to-wear fashion in Asia on its second year, AirAsia Runway
reveals the Top 3 Filipino designers to represent the Philippines
at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready to Wear 2016
In the hopes of launching a career in the fashion industry, 185 aspirants auditioned last Saturday at Best Western Antel Plus Hotel, Philippines. After a rigorous two rounds, Mary Camille Veloso and Beatrice Samson of Slim's Fashion and Arts School; and Ron Xavier Santos of Fashion Institute of of Design and Arts (Davao) were chosen to be the Top 3 finalists. They will be competing against chosen designers from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore for the grand finals of AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search 2016 to be held in Kuala Lumpur in August.

Criteria for judging are design, creativity and originality, consistency of collection,
practicality and stage presentation, and coherence to the Asean theme. Since
this is an initiative to cultivate and provide platform for talented young designers
in the region, the search will continue in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bangkok.

Promising Young Designer 2016
