Burberry's Olympia bag is going extra large

Burberry's chic shoulder bag is going several sizes bigger than usual with a large scale installation at ION Orchard in Singapore. It will feature a 10-metre tall sculpture made of recyclable materials and was first revealed in London, followed by a stop in Dubai. If you’re in SG, you can view it IRL starting 16 August until 29 August before heading over to the Burberry boutique to view the more wearable version in its different colours.

Looking for a new go-to purse? Kate Spade New York has unveiled its Fall '21 collection which includes an "I LOVE NY" capsule series and new additions to the Knott series. The capsule series pays homage to the brand’s home state and features the brand’s signature spade flower print, classic menswear fabrications, bold animal prints and cheerful novelty. Meanwhile, the Knott series features cinched knotted details, multiple pockets, and roomy interiors to fit and organise your essentials. The Fall collection is now available in Singapore at Kate Spade New York boutiques and through the brand's home delivery service. 

Too Faced Cosmetics to launch the Better Than Sex perfume

Too Faced Cosmetics is set to come out with its first fragrance called Better Than Sex Eau de Parfum, which is inspired by the brand’s bestselling Better Than Sex Mascara and Eyeliner. It was created by celebrated perfumer Frank Voelkl to feature a complex array of scents from fruits (passion fruit, lychee, peach, citrus), florals (magnolia, jasmine, orchid, rose), and earthy scents (sandalwood, cedarwood, musk, amber, patchouli), according to Allure. It will come in a pretty pink, vintage-inspired glass bottle with floral detailing. Want to get your hands on this limited-edition fragrance? It will be available for USD105 on beginning October.

YSL debuts new Gen Z makeup-skincare range

YSL Beauty's "NU" collection (translates to "naked" in French) consists of five makeup-skincare hybrid products that are specially made for the Gen Z market. It will feature an oil-in-water highlighter-moisturiser, a jelly-textured mattifying powder, a pore-minimising corrector, a hydrating foundation, and a hydrating facial mist.

“Our next-generation makeup-skincare hybrid collection invites everyone to be true to themselves, to embrace their imperfections and to bare [them] proudly. A simple, inclusive and unapologetic statement, aligned with our vision of beauty,” shared YSL Beauty US General Manager Laetitia Raoust in an interview with Hypebae. The collection is already available in the US, with prices starting at USD34, so we can only hope that it will find its way to our region soon.

L'Oréal partners with period-tracking app Clue

If you've been struggling with hormonal acne, especially around that time of the month, then you might want to keep an eye out for L'Oréal's partnership with Clue. Based on the data gathered from surveys on the period-tracking app, L'Oréal plans to co-create personalised hormone-related skincare advice you can access from the app. "We really want to focus more on providing more personalised information and giving people an understanding of how their skin is evolving and changing, and then alluding to some potential routines and [providing] understanding [of] how they can use their current beauty products at home," Guive Balooch, head of L’Oréal’s Technology Incubator, told Glossy. The MTV VMA 2021 noms are here

The 2021 MTV Video Music Awards nominees are here and boy, do we have a list of top artists. Justin Bieber takes home seven nominations for Peaches and POPSTAR (with DJ Khaled and Drake) while Megan Thee Stallion follows with six noms that include an Artist of the Year nod. Billie Eilish, BTS, Drake, Lil Nas X, Doja Cat, and first-time nominee Olivia Rodrigo all have five nominations each. This year's VMAs will be held on 12 September at Brooklyn's Barclays Center in front of a live audience. You can catch this year's VMAs on the MTV Asia channel in a same-day delayed primetime premiere at 7PM in Indonesia and 8PM in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

Netflix launches a website for reality show casting

Ever wanted to be part of the cast of a Netflix reality show? Well, your dream may just come true. The streaming platform has launched a website called where they put out casting calls for shows such as Queer Eye, Love Is Blind, and Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo. As of the moment, you need to be at least 18 years old and a resident of the US, Canada, UK, and Ireland. Who knows, maybe they'll open up their casting calls for Asian shows too.
