Getting your nails done can be quite therapeutic. With many designs and shapes to choose from, you will definitely not run out of ideas. But just in case you need some inspiration, here are some designs we’ve spotted in our Community that you could totally use for your next nail appointment.
Another exciting fashion season is upon us. Aside from florals, pastels, and other Spring/Summer staples, here are the trinkets that tickled our fancy.
"I'm really in love with Aigner this month. I'm particularly eyeing their Lara shoulder bag which features these edgy eyelets. The bag's design will definitely jazz up any of my outfits. Aside from that, the stylish Kissing Lips short-sleeved sweatshirt also caught my eye as it's perfect for the all-year-summer weather in Singapore."
"I'm no exercise junkie, but the latest UnderArmour HOVR Sonic Running Shoes make me want to hit the streets for a run ASAP. Built with UA HOVR® technology for a ‘zero gravity feel’ and designed with comfort in mind, it seems like I’ll be guaranteed a carefree run. This white pair also completes a chic athleisure look that will take me from gym to brunch."
"Since it's the season of love, I am reminded of the many things I'd like to do for those who are dear to me, as well as the many ways I can show them how much I value having them in my life. That said, I could definitely work on giving them more of my time. It sounds like a cliche, but it wouldn't hurt to be reminded of my goal when I look at the Charriol St. Tropez Mansart watch. Definitely jotting down having it — along with my goals — on my to-accomplish list."

"Life has been pretty hectic lately, so a mask that helps me and my skin relax at night is just what I need. I'm intrigued by the CANVAS Rose Otto Overnight Intense Moisture Mask. I've never used a product with Rose Otto a.k.a. rose oil before but the benefits sound promising. This is something I would really want to add to my stash this month."

"Olivia Burton's collection for Spring/Summer 2018 is so dainty and charming, and this particular timepiece from the Case Cuffs series stood out for me. I fell in love with the elegant design, floral embellishment and hint of rose gold. It's sweet and sophisticated, which is definitely my style."
"I have about a dozen untouched eyeshadow palettes at home but I can't help but set my eyes on another one. This time, I'm eyeing the CHANEL Spring/Summer 2018 Les 9 Ombres in Édition N°1: Affresco. This palette was inspired by the city of Naples and it certainly inspired me to wear brighter hues. I love how the colours are complementary to each other. Absolutely perfect for spring!"

"As a bag-loving lady, I'm constantly on the hunt for new bags that I can add to my growing collection, be they for work or play. And with Chinese New Year just around the corner, adding a touch of auspicious red to my ensemble is very fitting. This Tory Burch Fleming Convertible Bag in Exotic Red will complement my festive CNY OOTD. I bet this eye-catching piece will be a conversation starter for the events that I'll be attending."
Recipes for a happy skin
Think of your skincare routine as a basketball team. Each member has their speciality and role. And they can either work well together and win the game or become a hot mess. It doesn't matter if most of the team is great; it only takes one member to sabotage the game. So how do you assemble your skincare dream team? By knowing which ingredients go well together. That said, here are some of the beauty pairings with great chemistry (pun intended).
Hyaluronic acid + AHA (alpha hydroxy acids)
Glossier Super Bounce; COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid
When you're using exfoliating acids like AHA, it's very important to keep your skin hydrated. While some moisturisers may irritate sensitised skin, Hyaluronic Acid can effectively replenish hydration without causing any problem. Pairing these two together gives you better chances of getting that brighter and plumper skin.
Rosehip Oil + Niacinamide
Human Nature Pure Rosehip Oil; Paula's Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster
Those who want to address hyperpigmentation concerns can benefit from using these two potent ingredients together. Both rosehip oil and niacinamide are known for combatting dark spots and improving skin texture. Niacinamide can feel tacky upon application, so adding drops of rosehip oil can restore bounce to the skin. Some people prefer to mix these two then apply their concoction together, and that's also fine.
Serums + Moisturising Creams
Missha Time Revolution Borabit Ampoule; Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
In order to seal in moisture and promote the serum's skin penetration, you need a good occlusive. Depending on your skin type, you can opt for lightweight moisturisers (if you have oily/combination skin) or choose a more hydrating cream (for drier skin types). The important thing is to lock all those skincare layers to prevent from evaporating into the air.
Vitamin C + E
Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum; The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream
These two vitamins penetrate into different layers of the skin, targeting different areas of concern at the same time. Vitamin C reduces the appearance of acne scars, while Vitamin E neutralises free radicals, making it great in helping prevent ageing and skin damage in the long run.
Retinol + Moisturising SPF
Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Serum; Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++
Retinol users can also benefit from using hyaluronic acid to restore hydration to the skin. However, as retinoids are more potent, you need to incorporate hydration in every layer of your skincare routine as much as possible, and that includes sunscreens.
