Celebrities, influencers, your next-door neighbour, everyone's currently sporting a new 'cool girl' hairstyle. If you don't know what it is, it's basically just your typical curls but not going all the way up to the roots. This gives it a more effortless, but still well-put-together effect that truly oozes It girl vibes all day, everyday. No wonder even the Clozette Community has caught on to this trend. Just see them sport cool girl curls in all its glory.

But it's really not just about aesthetics; taking care of your health and making good lifestyle choices are also an essential part of the makeover. As for us, we already have our product picks to help us kickstart our journey to Insta-worthy. Keep reading to know why we're adding these items to our collection.
"If you know me in person, you'd know that I almost always wear black (the exemption would be when I'm in white or grey). But since hotter days are coming, I think it's time to bust out a once-in-a-blue-moon bright outfit. I'm eyeing this orange combo from Pomelo's Under the Tuscan Sun collection because it's vibrant and just screams summer."

"If you’re like me and suffer from dull and faded hair thanks to an obsession with colouring and bleaching, infuse My colour shampoos are going to be your new best friend. With a range that works on bright copper to icy silver, these vegan, silicone, paraben and sulfate-free products are going to keep your hair glossy and beautiful until your next salon visit."
"I love Drunk Elephant, their products really work wonders. I have a few acne scars on my face that I want to get rid of, and also, I have been told that I have very dull skin due to my irregular sleeping hours and the amount of junk food I eat all the time. The Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum is known to help dissolve dead surface skin cells and replenish lipids and visibly reduce the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles. I can't wait to include this product in my skincare routine to help with my dull skin!"
"I am such a sucker for beautiful Instagrammable packaging and cats, so when beauty brand Paul & Joe's Pearl Lipstick landed on my radar, I knew I'd have to get my hands on it eventually. Recently, I've been veering away from matte lipsticks and moving towards dewier, more hydrating ones especially for the summer, and the Pearl Lipstick hits all the right points: a glossy finish, a powder blue casing fit for Marie Antoinette's dressing table and let's not forget that cat-shaped bullet. Ç'est très mignon!"

"I'm the type of gal who carries all the essentials with her wherever she goes. You'll find everything one might need in my bag — from gadgets to an insulated water bottle. But my shoulder bags usually don't have the space for all of that, and on the off chance that they do, they become really heavy and affect my posture negatively. That's why I've been eyeing Lipault Paris’s new Business Avenue Backpack in garnet red. The medium-sized version has tons of pockets and space where I can easily store my stuff and get it when I need it. Its leather finish speaks sophistication, yet its vivid colour can still add a pop to my OOTDs and make them look more Insta-worthy."
Refresh your look with these dialled-up basics
Everybody knows Glossier, but what everyone must meet is her younger sister. Last week, CEO and founder Emily Weiss hinted at a new drop and now she’s finally here. Meet Glossier Play, a curated line of colour makeup designed to be your new dialled-up basics. Inspired by “sound, motion, and fun,” Glossier Play encourages its users to, pun intended, play around and express themselves freely through the power of makeup and we are all for it.
Niteshine Highlighter Concentrate
Glossier Niteshine Highlighter Concentrate, SGD27.13/~USD20 (glossier.com)
You’re probably thinking, "Another highlighter? Really?" But this isn’t another version of the cult-favourite Glossier Haloscope, which gives you a dewy, pearlescent, fresh-out-of-the-gym look. This is potent stuff with the kind of liquid gold shine that would make Grace Jones proud. It comes in four shades to suit every skin type: Pale Pearl, Platinum Rose, Deep Copper, and Molten Umber. Use the doe-foot applicator to dot it on your cheekbones, brow bone, down the centre of your nose and on your cupid’s bow and blend.
Glossier Glitter Gelée, SGD18.99/~USD14 (glossier.com)
Remember the glitter glue you used to play with in grade school for arts and crafts? It’s kind of like that but for your face. Less sticky and more comfortable with its gel formula, the product contains multi-dimensional paillettes which change with the light. Use any of the four shades: Phantasm (a holographic silver), Bijoux (a gunmetal grey), Glass Bonsai (a bright gold with hints of chartreuse), and Firewalk (a coppery rose). Dab it anywhere you want some disco shine (except for the lips; this is not safe for anywhere in the lip area). Our only qualm, though, is as fun as it is for the face, the glitter particles may not necessarily be as fun for the environment, so do keep that in mind.
Glossier Colorslide Technogel Eye Pencil
Glossier Colorslide Technogel Eye Pencil, SGD20.35/~USD15 (glossier.com)
With an impressive 14 shades, Glossier Play ups their eyeliner game by making this gel liner highly pigmented, waterproof, smudge-proof and crease-proof. We’ve yet to try it out but it claims to last for a good 12 hours, with matte shades lasting on the waterline for 8 hours. Sharpen it with Blade, a specially designed sharpener which will keep your pencils in top shape.
Glossier Vinylic Lip, SGD21.71/~USD16 (glossier.com)
Glossier Play’s version of coloured lip gloss, the shades are buildable from shiny sheer to a full-on lacquered lip. It comes in six shades with Pony (a dark taupe), Baby (a siren red), Casino (a brilliant orange), Disco (a terracotta shade), Blow-Up (a candy pink), and Bank (a rich plum). We’re loving the click-pen design and the felt-tip marker-like packaging.
