Fenty Beauty comes out with a 12-pan eyeshadow palette

Adding to its range of eyeshadow palettes, Fenty Beauty has revealed its limited-edition Bomb Posse Mega Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palette. It features a range of matte, shimmer and metallic shadows, three of which are  inspired by the brand’s iconic Gloss Bomb shades Fenty Glow, Fu$$y and Hot Chocolit. According to the brand’s Instagram, the eyeshadow will be long-wearing and crease-resistant. The palette is already available on fentybeauty.com for USD49, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for its availability in our area soon.

Naomi Osaka launches her own skincare brand

Tennis star Naomi Osaka announces the official launch of her beauty brand KINLÒ, which joins the growing list of celebrity-owned beauty brands. The brand’s name is a merging of the Japanese and Haitian Creole words for “gold”, a nod to Naomi’s background. The brand will focus on creating functional skincare products for people with melanated skin. Naomi shared that she also wanted to address the need for skin cancer prevention among people of colour through her brand. It officially launched on 7 September with four products, all under USD20: a tinted mineral sunscreen, a hydrating eye cream, a hydrating facial mist, and a hydrating lip balm. Can’t use retinol on sensitive skin? Au contraire, dear readers! Kiehl’s is set to come out with the Retinol Skin-Renewing Daily Micro-Dose Serum that can be used on all skin types. Its gentle formula uses a precise concentration of pure retinol, peptides (to boost skin renewal), and ceramides (to support retinol tolerance) to amplify skin turnover and reduce sensitivity. Depending on your skin tolerance, you may even be able to use the serum with vitamin C in one application to improve your skin’s radiance. It will be available online in the Philippines starting the end of September as well as in-stores nationwide in October. It’s now available in Singapore and Malaysia too.

Calvin Klein returns with a new #mycalvins campaign titled “The Language of Calvin Klein”. It stars K-pop idol Jennie of BLACKPINK, model Kaia Gerber, songwriter Dominic Fike, vocalist Deb Never, and more. The multimedia campaign explores the meaning of self-expression — both in words and in style — with the models wearing classic Calvin Klein essentials. According to NYLON, we will also see new designs from the brand’s Fall 2021 collection, namely, soft cotton underwear, shirts, cropped jackets, and “90s-inspired jeans in sustainable silhouettes and embellished with the iconic brand’s monogram.” The collection will launch in-stores by 27 September.

Zendaya wows in Balmain at the Venice Film Festival

Z never fails to rock the red carpet. This time, she took the spotlight at the Venice Film Festival with her figure-hugging Balmain dress. According to Balmain’s Instagram, she wore a bespoke leather gown that “was crafted using an exact model of the stars’ bust, taking full advantage of the Balmain atelier and the house’s artisanal tradition”. The Euphoria actress attended the film festival alongside her Dune castmate Timothée Chalamet. The highly anticipated film remake premiered during the festival and have garnered mixed initial reviews.
