With December just around the corner, festive-themed events are popping up everywhere. From illuminations and gallant installations to charity parties and concert carols, we list down some of the festive events in the region that will fully ignite your holiday spirit.
Andaz Singapore festive feasts
One of the best things about the holidays is getting your fill of scrumptious eats. If you're not in the mood for some home-cooking, Andaz Singapore's got you covered. Take your pick between Alley on 25's decadent buffet and afternoon tea offerings, 665°F's premium steakhouse Christmas menu, and Mr. Stork's delightful food extravaganza in celebration of the upcoming year. You'll definitely be as filled as a Christmas stocking after all that delicious dining!
A Christmas Carol live in Singapore
Following its sold-out success in the UK since 2015, the British Theatre Playhouse and The British Club jointly brought A Christmas Carol to Singapore all the way from the Royal Shakespeare Company of London. The one-man reprise of the Charles Dickens' classic will be brought to life by acclaimed British actor Clive Francis (A Clockwork Orange, The Crown). It's happening at the Elizabeth Suite of The British Club from 13 to 15 December.
OUE's Stars of Christmas beneficiary event
An annual event led by OUE and Meritus Hotels & Resorts since 2010, Stars of Christmas is back again this year, aiming to reach more beneficiaries in light of the festive season. The event kicked off last 21 November at the Mandarin Orchard with a ceremonial Christmas tree lighting event, where names, ages, and genders of the beneficiaries are displayed for the public to openly gift to this Christmas. The recipients are underprivileged children, along with those with special needs and illnesses. The community initiative is open to all and aims to deliver presents to at last 2,000 beneficiaries this year.
Ayala Triangle Gallery of Lights 2019
In the Philippines, Ayala's much-anticipated yearly light show has already begun and it's bigger than ever. Adding more colour to one of the metro's busiest business districts, this year's event involves smoke effects, laser lights, and of course, a canopy of amazing illuminations dancing to festive beats. The show will run until 12 January 2020 and is available for free viewing from 6PM to 10PM daily.
Jingle Bazaar at Jaya One
Shop, dine and celebrate the festive season with your wallet in hand at this year's Jingle Bazaar happening 14 December at Jaya One in Malaysia. From a meet-and-greet with Santa and singing along with carols to a bunch of gifting options to fill your shopping cart with, your heart will also be filled with love because the vendors at the event are also teaming up to save some of the proceeds for refugee support.
