Limp, flat and lifeless are three words we don’t want to associate our hair with. But the truth is we don’t really have a say about how fine our hair is; genetics (and a little bit of our lifestyle choices) decides that for us. You don’t need to settle, though. Getting lifted tresses and giving the illusion that you have thick, bouncy hair can be achieved. There are tons of tips out there, so we tried three of the best ones to see which ones actually work.
Invest in the correct hair products
It’s often an overlooked solution, but it truly works! Investing in the right products can make all the difference. If limp tresses are the bane of your existence, instead of one that promises shine or straightness, go for hair care that’s designed to lift. The Head & Shoulders Anti-Dandruff Shampoo — Cool Menthol may be known for its power to lift off dandruff and oil from your scalp but it has the power to lift up your hair.
With ActiZinc formula of cooling menthol, one wash will refresh your scalp and leave your hair feeling clean, fresh, awake and lifted. Thanks to the shampoo’s cleaning power, you’ll be left with bouncy tresses — without dandruff, dirt and other gunk on your hair.
Blow-dry hair upside down
Here’s a good ol’ trick: blow-dry your hair. But don’t do it the way you usually would – do it upside down! Drying your hair this way gives it a lift instead of when you blow the air from the top, which makes it straighter and potentially flatter. We suggest you do this sparingly, though, because heat styling can lead to dryness and damage.
Wash with baking soda
If you’re a DIY type of gal, try washing your hair with baking soda because it is said to be great at cleaning the scalp and giving hair a lift. Just mix one part baking soda with three parts water, apply the solution to your hair as if it was shampoo, and rinse. While this works, we say take proper caution and test it out on a small part of your head first to ensure that you don’t get a bad reaction from the solution.
