One of our favourite things to do during the start of every month is to pick out our next Featured Fashionista. It's our way of spotting notable Clozetters who have been sharing amazing photos in our Community and allowing us to shine the spotlight on the personality behind the style. This month, Chevron Lum, known as Chevronz here on Clozette, stood out with her well-stylized OOTDs that constantly showcases a variety of looks and styles.
Since we're in the midst of the #FestiveHoliday season, we got her talking about her style, her favourite thing about the holidays, and to share a few of her gift ideas for Christmas.
How would you describe your style?
I experiment with different styles - girly, rock, glam, depending on my mood. But my personal favourite is channelling a style that is versatile yet classy. I lean towards picking pieces that are versatile and can be worn over and over again no matter the season or trend. As the great Yves Saint Laurent puts it, "Fashion fades, style is eternal." I couldn't agree more!
What are you most excited about the coming festive holiday season?
The best part about Christmas is getting to spend quality time with my family and friends. Of course, the gift exchange is a bonus and I am looking forward to that. I'm pretty sure that is going be a lot of fun!
What are your must-have fashion items for this time of the month?
Outerwear! Especially coats for the colder countries. It's hot in Singapore, but December gives us a reason to layer up even just a bit. I think the month is also a great time to bring out all things glittery and fun because it's the holiday season. But if I had to pick one item, furry tops are definitely my pick for this month!
Any gift ideas you can share with our readers?
You can't go wrong with embellished clutches or some sparkly accessories. I think cute Christmas socks or onesies work too for your friends and family who aren't into sparkles and accessories.
Have you planned what you're going to wear for Christmas or New Year?
No I haven't planned them yet as I usually style my outfits according to my mood that day. But if I have to pick something, I would probably go with glitters and bold colours for Christmas and fun dresses for the New Year!
