Get Ready For Rihanna's 'Savage' Lingerie Line | Clozette

Named one of the Most Influential People of 2018 by Time Magazine, there's no question that Rihanna's making big waves. Her beauty line Fenty Beauty continues to make waves for pushing the boundaries towards inclusivity. In fact, in just a couple of days after the beauty brand's launch, it has opened dialogue amongst consumers and brands alike, demanding a higher and more considerate standard when it comes to shade and quality selections.

But just when you think that RiRi's influence and empire stop there, she recently teased the launch of her new lingerie line named Savage X Fenty, which follows the same principles and patterns of her successful beauty line — having something for everyone.

Now while the industry has evolved much in the past couple of years in terms of plus-sized clothing, there are still issues surfacing that prove that the choices are still very limiting. Many regular consumers have taken note that only hourglass-shaped plus-sized women are being included both in ads and on the runway.

Even Rihanna herself was previously called out by model and body positivity advocate Ashley Graham during the Fenty X Puma collaboration, saying that while it's a good thing to see diversity on the runway during the collab's lineup, it would have been 'dope' to see 'curves' as well.

Given this, Savage X Fenty is said to have bra sizes that will range from 34A to 44DD and panty sizes that go from XS to 3X and is expected to be as innovative in terms of portraying and keeping in mind a wider range of body types in their pieces. And while there's still no official launch date, it's safe to say that we'll keep our eyes peeled for this one and hope for another one of Rihanna's best.
