Gucci launches the eco-friendly Off The Grid collection

It's the Italian luxury giant's first sustainable collection, showing their commitment to creating positive change for the planet. Championing circularity, the Gucci Off The Grid collection regenerates old textiles, mainly using ECONYL, a material upcycled from nylon, to minimise waste. The five-product capsule collection comprises of unisex accessories and daywear that can be easily incorporated into your ensembles for a luxe sporty look.

TaFF welcomes a new President and Council Members
Earlier this week, the Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFF) appointed a new set of leaders to bring Singapore at the forefront of fashion in the region. Wilson Teo, Executive Director of TEO Holdings, Pte Ltd, will now lead the organisation as the President in the years to come. He's joined by John Lee of Lee Yin Knitting Factory Pte Ltd as the Vice-President and Carolyn Kan of The Good Life Club Pte Ltd as the Hon Secretary. Moving towards their vision, they're working together with newly elected Council Members — including Clozette's very own CEO, Roger Yuen, as Hon Treasurer — along with Felicia Gan, Nelson Yap, Nicole van der Elst Desai. Associate Council members that include Sonja Prokopec, Dro Tan, Amanda Wu, and Esther Huang, will also be joining them. With each of their expertise in sustainable operations, we can only see the local industry propelling to greater heights.
Daniel Martin is Tatcha's first Global Director of Artistry and Education
Speaking of new appointments, Tatcha taps renowned makeup artist Daniel Martin to work closely on product development, marketing and education. In the past years, while he has worked with high-profile clientele and with Dior and Honest Beauty, he also collaborated with Tatcha to create some of the brand's products like the Kyoto Red Silk Lipstick. His becoming the luxury beauty brand's first-ever Global Director of Artistry and Education is really unsurprising as he's long been a supporter and advocate of Tatcha's nourishing products. We're excited to see all the innovations he'll spark in skincare and makeup.
The never-ending drama within the YouTube beauty community continues
Recently, American YouTuber Shane Dawson came under fire as his racist and predatory behaviour resurfaced, prompting YouTube to demonetise his videos and brands to stop working with him. To top it all off, he and Jeffree Star are now being accused of masterminding Tati Westbrook's feud with James Charles that blew up last year. This accusation follows Tati breaking her silence in a new 40-minute-long vlog detailing the events that had occurred. Piping hot tea is continually spilling, making us incredibly curious about how it will all end.
A South Korean remake of A Love So Beautiful is in the works
Meanwhile, another drama is in development — this time, of the good kind. Asian drama fans will be ecstatic to know that hit Chinese drama A Love So Beautiful is getting a South Korean remake. First aired on Tencent Video way back in 2017, the rom-com series starring Hu Yi Tian (seen recently on Handsome Siblings) and Shen Yue (Shan Cai from the 2018 Meteor Garden reboot) captured the hearts of many with its light-hearted story about first loves and enduring friendships. The remake will be a shorter version, with each episode lasting only 20 minutes. It's been revealed that Kim Yo Han (School 2020) and So Ju Yeon (Dr. Romantic 2) have been tapped to star as Jiang Chen and Chen Xiao Xi, respectively. Kakao M's project is still in the early stages of development, so whether they'll take on the roles or not, we still have to wait and see.
