We’re in an era where skincare is put on top of our daily priority lists. Unfortunately, while we do elaborate routines, many of us still forget one very important step, which is to put on sunscreen. Did you know that sun protection is the most effective anti-ager there is? It protects your skin from the damage caused by harmful UV rays, making sure all the products you used before it work just as they should.

With the many different sunblocks to choose from, though, how would you know which one to pick? We say, go for the one that’s been in the kits of many people for a long, long time — 17 years, to be exact. Meet Anessa, the no. 1 sunscreen brand in Japan! Why should you make their products staples in your kit, too? Here are just some of the many reasons.

It does heavy-duty protection

Stay skin-protected no matter what with the help of the Anessa Perfect UV Milk, which has SPF 50+ and is water- and sand-resistant. It is, along with the other Anessa variants, created with Aqua Booster technology to ensure you’re protected even when you sweat.

In the past, sunscreens used to have diminished efficacy when exposed to water, but with the Aqua Booster technology, Anessa sunscreens actually deliver enhanced UV protection when they come in contact with water — or sweat.

It’s lightweight & gentle on the skin

We want something that’s strong enough to ward off the harshness of the sun’s rays but won’t cause our skin to dry or get irritated no matter our skin type. Anessa Essence UV Sunscreen Mild Milk (in SPF 35 PA+++ and SPF 50 PA++++ variants) has an airy, silky, non-sticky texture that’s great for those of us who live in humid climates.

All their sunscreens are also colourant-free and have been proven gentle to be used for daily sun protection. The UV Sunscreen Mild Milk, for instance, has been proven safe and effective for people with sensitive skin — it’s great even for kids. It’s also additive-free, colourant-free, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, paraben-free and has no mineral oil.

It’s a triple-tasker

Aside from blocking harmful UV rays, the Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Milk, Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Gel, and Anessa Whitening UV Sunscreen Gel are also packed with ingredients that nurture the skin. It contains 50% skincare ingredients, including Super Hyaluronic acid, Glycerin, Collagen, Rose extract, Aloe extract, Green Tea extract, Sakura Leaf extract, and Tormentilla extract.

Meanwhile, the Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Spray contains skin moisturising and conditioning ingredients Hyaluronic acid, Glycerin and Rose extract.

Most of the sunscreens from Anessa can be used as a makeup primer, while their Perfect UV Sunscreen Spray can be used on top of makeup as a mist or refresher and hair to protect both your scalp and tresses. Are you ready to take your suncare to no. 1?

The Anessa Perfect UV Milk and other Anessa Sunblock variants are now available in Malaysia at selected Watsons, Aeon Wellness, Sasa, Parkson, and Isetan stores from March 2018. Check out the outlet list and promotions over at Anessa MY’s Facebook page.
