The Malaysian music scene has been rumbling with a chorus of sounds that will appeal to even the most discerning listener. Read in to discover some new players that might have you moving to their beat.

If a good time is what you’re looking for, you’ve come to the right place. RYÖT JONES is an eight-piece band that has set themselves apart from other bands in the scene by bringing their version of jazz to the people. Their modus operandi is to get people grooving to their fresh sounds without a shred of self-consciousness and just enjoy the good vibes.

Talitha Tan

This pretty young thing soulfully strummed her way into our hearts on YouTube before becoming a bonafide star in the local music scene with her first single, Okay, in 2016. Her mellow voice coupled with thoughtful lyrics makes her an easy listen that appeals to listeners of all ages.

Pastel Lite

Fans of alternative and electronic music will enjoy Pastel Lite to the fullest as this duo recently shifted from their distinct electro-pop sounds to give off a more nostalgic, dreamy vibe. To date, they have performed both locally and international, opening for major acts like The XX, and Tame Impala.

Tiga Soul

Each member of Tiga Soul is a powerhouse in her own and the chemistry between them is something very difficult to ignore. The trio came to be after a six-month stint performing together, gracing us with complementary vocals, beautiful harmonies, and dynamic performances. The term ‘soul sisters’ has never rang truer than with these three.

Not long ago, in a galaxy not too far away, four guys got together to share some easily danceable indie pop tracks with music lovers everywhere. Enterprise has a staple at local indie gigs, most recently at Urbanscapes 2018, appealing to the quirkiest of us with their unique synth pop sound and sci-fi references.
