Meet L'Oreal Paris' New Edgy Spokesperson

What happens when you combine edgy editorial angles, bold street style looks, and an effervescent spirit? You get Xiao Wen Ju, a one-of-a-kind Chinese beauty who has swiftly become a fashion industry favourite!

From sharing the catwalk with Lady Gaga in Tom Ford’s SS16 disco runway to making comical Blue Steel cameos next to Ben Stiller during Paris Fashion Week, Xiao Wen is a rising edgy icon who has quickly won over the fashion elite.

And because of her ability to inspire young generations, her bubbly personality, and her high-fashion edge, she is now part of the L’Oreal family as its brand new international spokesperson, saying, “I am so excited to be part of the L’Oréalista family! To be a part of such an aspirational and esteemed brand that has always been in the forefront of women’s worth and beauty empowerment is a true honor. I cannot wait to start sharing and creating beautiful L’Oréalista stories all over the world!”

Widely admired for her fresh and natural photogenic features, and pure-faced pout, Xiao received her big break in modelling when she became the first ever Chinese model to be the face of Marc Jacobs. Since then, she has appeared in the industry’s most renowned advertising campaigns and walked for brands such as Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein during fashion week.

A true makeup junkie, Xiao loves to push the envelope with bold palettes and unique style changes. And when she isn’t modelling, she is actively involved in New York Cares, an organisation dedicated to combating issues in the city such as equal education opportunities and beautification projects.

Xiao Wen Ju joins the glamorous L’Oréal family along with supermodels Karlie Kloss, Barbara Palvin, Lara Stone, Natasha Poly, Liya Kebede, Doutzen Kroes, Luma Grothe, and actresses Julianne Moore, Naomi Watts and Blake Lively.
