OOTD Roundup | Clozette

Every week is getting better and better. More Clozette girls are coming out of their shell and trying out new trends. We found vintage, hiphop, and even K-style looks! It was indeed a stylish week for our Fashion Community!

Here are our top 5 favourite OOTDs for the week.

Clozetter HLRYYS turns anything she wears into something amazing. This boho-monochrome look (yes, two trends in one) makes it a great outfit for fancy day events this summer. A definite favourite!

What made us adore this look from Clozette Ambassador MelissaFerosha is how carefree and comfortable everything looks! A girly summer OOTD looks exactly like this--off-shoulder, floral, pastel, with a golden brown background.

Clozette Ambassador sharniehung never fails to wow us with her outfits, that's why when we spotted this during our #ClozetteKPartyPH event, we couldn't help but gush over it! This is K-style grunge-glam at its finest! We love the mix of fabrics and the bling!

Star Clozetter Everestsays makes us fall in love all over again with this heart-print romper. The red on her sling bag and heels makes it the perfect icing to a "summer in the 70's" cake.

Clozetter meowissa always has that 90's hiphop style going on but she always makes it look quirky without sacrificing style. We love her take on the monochrome trend through her mix-and-match of patterns that make it such a good OOTD. And yes, the Mickey Mouse makes the whole outfit extra fun!

Online shopping, despite the comfort and efficiency it provides, is not for everyone. Some are still unsure about the fit of the clothing, the fabric used, and even how the design looks like. Thankfully, ZALORA now has a pop-up store for "fickle hearts" who can enjoy online shopping in the flesh.

Following ZALORA's pop-up at ION Orchard is their second pop-up store at Bugis+ to take shopping to the next level via personalised mobile app shoppi up with a Popong experience.

The 2,400-square-foot retail space is a store with carefully curated selections of international and in- house brands with exclusive collections from highly anticipated labels including Finery London, River Island, Material Girl, Dorothy Perkins, Burton Menswear London, ZALIA  and, of course, the eponymous ZALORA label.

The ZALORA pop-up at Bugis+ features several technological refinements. Customers who visit the store can shop via their personal mobile devices on the ZALORA app with the free in-store Wi-Fi

All products at the ZALORA pop-up will be tagged with two codes — a barcode, for express checkout in-store, and a QR code  — where customers can scan via ZALORA’s in-app QR code reader for products to be added to their cart automatically or have it saved to their ‘wishlist’.  This allows customers to cart out on their devices even after leaving the store, providing them with the option to shop for even more products from the main catalogue in the comforts of their own home.

The ZALORA pop-up store at Bugis+ is located at 201 Victoria Street, #02-02-05 and operates from 10 am to 10 pm daily till 29 July 2015.

Orchard road was transformed into a runway for Samsung Fashion Steps Out last Saturday (11th April). A record number of 176 models strutted down the runway during this iconic annual fashion feast, wearing the latest designs from 13 brands; Aimer, Ashley Isham, Pleatation, Depression, FOX Kids, Francis Cheong, Germain, Mary Katrantzou, Moiselle, Max.Tan, Pauline.Ning, Paul, Sean & Sheila.

The biggest fashion runway in Singapore has got to be the biggest event I have attended so far in my blogging career. Together with the other Clozette Ambassadors, we were privileged to attend the event thanks to our Clozette family.

Here’s a peek into my Orchard Fashion Runway experience!

Initial thoughts

I have never been to an event such as this before so I did not know what to expect; but I will say this: it was amazing! I usually only get to watch such fashion events on television and witnessing the event first-hand, seated next to fashionable individuals was a very memorable experience for me.

What I wore

I was at first stumped over what to wear to such an event until I remembered an episode from Asia’s Next Top Model where Joey Mead King (the model mentor) noted that when in doubt, one should always go back to the basics. So I went for something minimal. After all, you can never go wrong with black. A romper, black peep-toe heels, and classic sling bag and I was ready to rock the night!

My Favourite Designers

Max Tan (Max.Tan)

His collection featured a minimalistic design that caught my eye the moment the models strutted down Orchard Road. I really admired the quirky cuts and the simplicity of his pieces, and how the gold footwear effortlessly matched the garments.

Pauline Lim (Pauline.Ning)

Pauline.Ning was another designer that caught my eye. Since I’ve really been into minimalistic nowadays, I was ecstatic to be able to witness both minimalist collections in person. I love how her collection showcased a style that is minimal and yet still feminine and classy. It is definitely not boring nor flat—I really could wear this every day.

Enjoying a fun night of fashion

Overall, it was indeed a memorable night.  A very big thanks to Orchard Road Business Association for this wonderful event which has left me with such great fashion memories. And a big thank you as well to my Clozette Family for this exclusive invite and for always being supportive to the Clozette Ambassador family.
