Our Favourite Spice Girls Song Got A 2016 Remake

...and it's as amazing as you expect it to be!

Unless you've been living under the rock for the past two decades, the Spice Girls' hit debut single Wannabe would have probably been your jam at some point in your life. The song is all about taking control of one's relationships and not settling for anything but the best. Even at the time when it was released back in 1996, it was one of the ultimate girl power anthems of the generation.

This 2016, we may not be getting the Spice Girls reunion that we want but the charity Project Everyone gave the song a wonderful remake, taking the call for women empowerment another notch higher.

The video may have been just under 2 minutes, but the message is loud and clear: women should never forget to call for issues that center around feminism such as equal pay and education for women, ending violence against women, and raising awareness to fight against child marriage.

Featuring artists from Nigeria, South Africa, UK, US, Canada and India, the aim of the project is to encourage women from all over the world to tweet a picture calling for equality and empowerment using the hashtag #WhatIReallyReallyWant. The entire project will be presented to the UN General Assembly in September.

So ladies, what is it that you really, really want?
