#ShineDontBeShy With The New Dior Addict Lipsticks | Clozette

If you weren’t at the Dior Backstage Studio party in ION Orchard Singapore last Saturday, you’d have missed out on the three handy makeup pointers shared by senior Dior Backstage Artist, Chew Toong Han, affectionately known as Han in the beauty circuit. But that’s not all: you also missed out on the real star of the show – the new Dior Addict Lipstick range – which was unveiled by the lovely Leanne in the iconic Be Dior look.

As if pampering ourselves silly with flash makeovers and manicures weren’t enough, the party really started when Han treated the crowd to a live demonstration of achieving the perfect everyday look. These three effortless steps are all you really need to know:

Step 1: Fix it and conceal

Want to know how you can conceal your undereye circles, hide your blemishes and prime your lips at the same time? You just need one tool to rule them all –Dior FIX IT. This skin-perfecting stick features a soft-focus powder formula combined with a full-coverage concealer shade to cover and smooth skin flaws. Ladies, that’s your cheat stick to a flawless complexion.

Step 2: Sport a rosy glow

Fake that healthy glow of flushed cheeks for an instant pick-me-up. Han reached out for a Diorblush Cheek Stick and worked his magic to give Leanne’s flawless but dull face a youthful, healthy colour. “One dot for the day, and two dots for the night!” he declared as he dabbed the stick strategically on the apples of her cheeks.

Step 3: Seal the deal with a slap of colour on the lips!

And the moment we had been waiting for – Leanne put the finishing touch to her look by picking up the new Dior Addict Lipstick in Be Dior, and demonstrated the ease of application with a few glides of the highly raved lipstick.

A luxurious lipstick and lip-gloss in one, the new Dior Addict Lipstick consists of a hydra-gel core in the shape of a CD at the center of the stick. The first layer offers a health-looking sheer sheen, and subsequent layers deliver an extra dose of colour and incredible mirror shine with its topcoat effect. The result is a pair of luscious lips drenched in moisture and fabulous colour.

And there you have it – Leanne is all made up and ready to go!

As a big Dior Addict (pun intended), I knew I had to give the new products a shot. I tried the new Dior Addict Lipstick in Be Dior and I was pleasantly surprised by its rich tone when I applied the colour on with a lip brush. It’s not drying with its moisturising hydra-gel core and leaves a natural-looking tint towards the end of the day without any touch-ups – perfect for lazy people like me.

Here’s what the rest of the Clozetters say about the new Dior Addict Lipstick:

“The Dior Addict lipstick is the one to go for if you're looking for something that's moisturising and hydrating at the same time. It's really easy to wear and you can build the intensity up by applying a few more layers if you like. “ – Kexian, Ad Ops Executive

“I like how moisturising the new Dior Addict Lipstick is, coupled with a silky texture that glides on smoothly. I love that it gives my lips a natural plumped-up look, and I also have a soft spot for pretty lipstick packaging. Who wouldn't love Dior Addict's sleek silver metal and transparent packaging? – Azleena, Campaign Executive

“Thanks to the hydra-gel topcoat and a triple oil complex formulation, the new Dior Addict lipstick has got to be one of the most moisturising lippy in the market. It acts as a lip balm to provide my usually chapped lips the much-needed moisture required. It also provides just the right amount of shine and tinge of colour for everyday use. I'm definitely looking forward to more colours added to this range in the future.” – Carissa, Campaign Manager

With all the hype around K-beauty and #hairspiration brought about by our favourite K-Stars, we took #TeamClozette's very own Jara Lucero through the V Look Makeover Experience to get a first-hand experience on what the V Look trend is all about.

Watch the video to take a peek into the #VLookByLorealPro experience at the Salon Beauty Party held at Regine's Salon:

In collaboration with L'Oréal Professionel, Shu Uemura, and Regine's Salon, the Salon Beauty Party gave an intimate look at the inspiration behind the trend and an insider's peek at what it takes to achieve a total V Look Makeover.

Going beyond just creating modern and elegant hair that slims and sculpts the face, the Salon Beauty Party also highlighted key makeup trends to rock this Fall Season.

So here's what you can expect from a #VLookByLorealPro experience!

A L'Oréal Professionel Salon

(Jara Lucero before the makeover)

The #VLookByLorealPro cut is available at all L'Oréal Professionel Salons and is all about creating bigger hair with layers to softly frame the face for a slimmer and sharper jawline. Best thing about it, it's great for every hair texture and cut out there. You won't be limited by a standard V Look cut.
There's A V Look For Every Face Shape

As demonstrated by salon owner and L'Oréal hair expert, Karina Mantolino, there is a V Look for every face shape, hair texture, and preferred style. To get the ideal V Look suited for your face, a hair consultation with the L'Oréal hair expert is done before the cut to determine the right cut and colour to match your face shape and lifestyle.

For Jara's new cut, Karina Mantolino suggested a wash-and-wear cut with soft layers and blunt bangs for a look that is chic yet still easy to manage and care for.

V Look Styling Tips From The Hair Experts

Need help in styling your new V Look hairstyle? Get valuable hair styling and hair care tips from the L'Oréal hair experts. They'll be on hand to show you various ways you can wear your new cut and also suggest products to keep your hair healthy and shiny.

For Jara's new haircut, Karina Mantolino ensured that it remained versatile, allowing Jara to wear her hair in four ways: tied up, straight hair with full bangs down, side swept bangs, or with added curls for dressier functions.

Beyond Just A Hair Cut

To complete her full V Look experience, Shu Uemura's makeup artist Hanna Pechon was also on hand for makeup tips to enhance the V Look style. The most important thing to note: V Look goes beyond just hair as the trend is also seen in the makeup world.

Using Shu Uemura's latest collection, she added V-shaped details on Jara's eyes to make them appear bigger and more defined. Bright, fun colours were also used to inject a dash of fun, K-Pop edge to the V Look.

With the arrival of the Fall fashion season, there's no better time than now to give yourself a hairstyle upgrade. And what better way to showcase this season's best street-ready hairstyles than through this fashion and hair look book from The Redken Style Crew! The looks are edgy and on-trend, framing the face with a shot of attitude perfect for the dark hues of Fall.

So if you're looking to stand-out from the crowd, here are 6 street-ready looks for ultimate #hairspiration!

The Scrunched Bob

Ellie Tan's style motto is to keep it chill and simple. So for Fall, she's rocking The Scrunched Bob that's edgy and truly stands out from the crowd of luscious lock locks. It's an effortless and versatile style that works with every look. Best thing about it: it's quick and easy to maintain, perfect for the busy fashionista who wants something low-maintenance. Just softly scrunch your hair in place with a mix of styling mousse and spray. The messier, the better.

The Inward Twirl

The Inward Twirl has become Joycelyn Thiang's signature look, effortlessly taking her style from twirly, floral dresses to street-chic. It's a hairstyle best done on those with naturally straight hair. Just blow dry and twirl the ends of your hair inwards towards your jawline for chic sophistication.

The Tousled Lob

For her Redken Style Crew look book, Marie Soh went for a glam look that's all about volume and dimension: The Tousled Lob. It's also a cut and style that enhances the playful colours on her hair. The Lob is probably one of the best looks for those looking to rock short hair but still wants to maintain the face framing, playfulness of mid-length hair. Just wash, dry, tousle, and twirl--and you'll be good to go!

The Sea Salt Waves

This is a look perfect for beach-loving and boho-inspired girls. The Sea Salt Waves give Nedra Lim that fresh from the beach look that is all about texture and loose, chunky waves with a touch of ombré. So if you love your long hair and don't want to go too short, this look is something you may want to try.

The C-Shaped Swirls

Pearlynn Wang went for one of the hottest hair trends this season: The C-Shaped Swirls. A close-cousin to the The Inward Twirl, this style is the long-haired version of the twirl but emphasizes the face-framing layers usually seen in long hair. To re-create this look, just blow dry your hair, twirling the brush inwards towards your jawline to create that C-Shaped Twirl at the ends.

The Side Swept Serious Curls

For pure edge, you can't get any cooler than the Side Swept Serious Curls as rocked by Rachel Wong. It has the sultry allure of side-swept long hair, with the edge of short hair. This is a perfect style for the adventurous fashionista daring enough to make the change.
