The F/W 2016 Collections We Can't Wait To See | Clozette

(cover featuring the collection of Tipay Caintic)

Since its debut in 2014, Manila Fashion Festival has become the purveyor of style and the catalyst of creativity that has infused new and exciting energy into the fashion industry in The Philippines. Back for another exciting season, they are taking their mission to make fashion accessible a step further by partnering with ZALORA Philippines to bring brands, Filipino designers, and consumers closer together.

Presented by Art Personas, the 4-day spectacle runs from 11th to 14th April at Edsa Shangri-La Hotel. The great thing about this season is that the collections showcased at Manila Fashion Festival – including collections by Mark Bumgarner, Anthony Ramirez, Tony Evan, AZUCAR by Arleen Sipat-Sutton, and many more – will be available for purchase straight from the runway on ZALORA Philippines.

So if you want a sneak peek on what to expect this Fall/Winter 2016, keep scrolling below for the 7 collections we can’t wait to see (and wear)!

--------------------------

Cielo Y Tierra by Anthony Ramirez

Clean cuts and elegant silhouettes, Cielo Y Tierra by Anthony Ramirez is all about elegance. By going back to timeless designs with a modern twist, Fall/Winter 2016 is shaping up to be one very sophisticated season!

A Different Kind of Fix by Brit Tripudio

Layers upon layers upon layers – A Different Kind of Fix by Brit Tripudio is fall street style taken to a whole new level. It combines soft and rough textures, as well as different silhouettes, to come up with unique ensembles that will surely catch everyone’s eye.

AZUCAR by Arleen Sipat-Sutton

One look at AZUCAR by Arleen Sipat-Sutton's Fall/Winter 2016 designs and we’re already in love! The gowns' embroidery and beadwork are surely going to be nothing short of stunning.

Fury by ARIN

Taking inspiration from the new fashion craze, “athlesiure,” earth tones and fun textures have taken over Fury by ARIN. Combining comfort and style, these pieces will surely be a hit for anyone who wants to rock that laidback-chic vibe!

Oral Fixations by Tipay Caintic

Something we rarely see in Fall/Winter collections is a fun mix of colours as the season is usually filled with earth tones and neutrals. But just one look at Oral Fixations by Tipay Caintic and we're already loving the pops of pinks and bright blue hues.

Dal’Lang by Gabbie Sarenas

If you love the 70’s, then don’t miss Dal’Lang by Gabbie Sarenas. From high collars, to flared sleeves, to eccentric prints, this collection has that 70’s-with-a-modern-twist look written all over it!

The New Baroque by Tony Evan

To describe The New Baroque by Tony Evan, all we need are these three words: detailed, sleek, elegant. Based on his remarkable showing last season, this latest collection is bound to excite once again; and we can't wait see it hit the runway.

As we celebrated turning 5 this year, we thought: "what better way to celebrate with the community than to throw the ultimate social party of the year."

So in celebration of 5 years of beauty, fashion, and incredible style, we're gathering with our trendsetting community in Singapore for Clozette Style Party 2016. Why Singapore? It's the place where Clozette was born and the community that started it all. Because without the support we've gotten in our hometown in the past 5 years, Clozette possibly wouldn't be where it is today: a regional community that has expanded to Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Japan!

As the leading women social network in Asia and in partnership with ASOS, LANEIGE, REDS HAIRDRESSING, and SUNTEC CITY, we created Clozette Style Party to be the event to discover what's hot and what's trending right now around Asia.

Get ready for a weekend of fun, fashion, and beauty; because here's what you can look forward to at this year's #ClozetteStyleParty happening on 21st - 23rd April at Suntec City, Singapore!

All the looks will be styled by LANEIGE and REDS Hairdressing.

Not into K-dramas? Then you don’t know what you’re missing with “Descendants of the Sun (태양의 후예)" – a K-drama that has got Korea, and possibly the whole world, giddy with excitement. It’s what everyone talks about these days; from the good looks of Song Joong Gi, and of course to how beautiful Song Hye Gyo is even while saving people from the ruins of an earthquake.

This KBS drama, filmed in beautiful Greece, is set in a place called 'Urk'. Song Joong Gi plays a soldier (Yoo Si Jin) with a romantic storyline with Song Hye Gyo (Dr. Kang Mo Yeon). The beauty of the Song-Song couple is more than enough to break hearts everywhere. But if we can’t have a dashing soldier to love, the least we could do is try to emulate Song Hye Gyo.

To recreate Song Hye Gyo’s look in the show, keep scrolling down to find out!

--------------------------

Makeup

It’s no wonder why Song Hye Gyo has been the choice model for beauty brands over the years; her flawless skin and never aging beauty makes her the perfect ambassador for Laneige. Her ‘barely there’ makeup can be recreated with just two things – the Laneige BB cushion compact and the Two Tone Lip Bar!

Accessories

Even the smallest things can make a difference in one's outfit. Thank God for the invention of earrings, added with crystals and diamonds, then, as your ear candy can bring all the attention to your face. And Dr. Kang’s choice of H.Stern’s Moonlight Crystal Earrings for her TV appearance is the cream of the crop.

Trust a girl to spruce up her look with subtle accessories even while on a mission trip. Song Hye Kyo uses her own creations with jewellery brand AiNo to exude Dr. Kang’s poise and her simple earring designs – U Turn Stone E and Triple Rolling E -- make her look beautiful even when she’s crying at the brink of death.

Shoes

Song Hye Gyo isn’t tall but that doesn’t mean it would be realistic for her to go around saving people in heels. For petites like her, flatforms are complete life savers and her stylist shows style isn’t confined only to the season by wearing the Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons Perforated Flatform Hi-tops from the 2015 S/S collection. This pair of shoes may be from a past season, but we can go for the YRU Qozmo Low Key Sneaker, a much cheaper, but still chic, alternative. Don’t forget to enter the code “CLOZETTE” during checkout to enjoy 15% off!

If a girl is going on a date to an isolated island in an abandoned ship, I’m sure a sandal with a little bit of heel is forgivable. Dr. Kang wears this Suecomma Bonnie Modern Strap Sandal which shouts nothing but elegance and comfort.

Style

Linen blouses will be your best friend on a mission trip in Urk; protecting your skin from the sun but yet keeping you cool.

Dr. Kang wears a lot of loose fitting linen blouses, and her favourite brand seems to be Rails, which offers Hunter Button Downs in many different patterns and colours – just the right kind of blouse for Urk. Or go for a cheaper alternative with the lovely baby pink linen piece from Style Nanda!
