Travel In Style: 5 Outfit Inspirations From Movies

Silver screen style

We get style inspirations from just about anything and everything. For some it’s from architecture, while for others it’s from nature. There are also those that draw inspiration from art in different forms.

As for us, we’re currently taking a cue from movies. Here are just some of the films that have us planning our travel OOTDs.

Sex and the City 2

With the majestic sand dunes of Abu Dhabi as background, the outfits worn by Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte have us longing for an adventure in the desert while clad in harem pants, turbans and ball gowns.

The 1995 remake of the 1954 film starring Audrey Hepburn gave us chic goals galore. With the plot involving an internship for Vogue for the main character, the outfits were to die for. We’re ready to start strutting cobblestoned streets in chic dresses and hats.

Just Go With It

Can you get style inspiration from a comedy film? Yes, you can. We’re definitely taking a page from Jennifer Aniston’s character’s style book in Just Go With It. Set in Hawaii, Aniston’s character’s outfits are perfect for strutting our stuff on sandy shores.

Devil Wears Prada

We’re sure you expected this, and we’re not at all guilty to include this in our list. Anne Hathaway’s transformation from casual to chic has us dreaming of having a closet full of on-trend clothes we can borrow from. Sleek trench coats, pencil skirts, gorgeous blazers, sky-high heels — yes, yes, yes, and yes.

Pretty Woman

Nothing says classic Californian style than outfits shopped from Rodeo Drive. Julia Roberts’s evening gowns, cocktail dresses and blazer and shorts combo are making us want to stroll down the vibrant city of Angels on a sunny day.
