'Twelve Shoes For Twelve Lovers' Now At Melissa

During the 2013 Miami Art Basel, the Chilean contemporary artist and designer showcased a collection of 12 shoe-like sculptures at famed Brazilian plastic shoe brand Melissa’s pop-up store. Titled “Twelve Shoes for Twelve Lovers”, the art installation draws inspiration from 12 of Errazuriz’s ex-girlfriends.

From “The Boss” and “Cry Baby”, to “The Virgin” and “Heartbreaker”, Errazuriz’s artful – and feisty – interpretation led to the debut of his limited edition capsule collection at Melissa stores. Now you can wear any one of these two sassy pairs, reconstructed from the sculpted pieces, from the limited edition capsule collection at the Melissa MDREAMS Pop-Up Store in Singapore.

Adorned with brass knuckles on the underside of the heel, it’s easy to comprehend the woman behind the pair of femme fatale-worthy heels. Simply put: no one messes with “The Boss”. On the flipside, “Gold Digger” replaces the traditional aesthetic of the heel with a structure of a man shouldering the weight of the shoe – tragic but witty!

The next time you head to town, make sure you catch a glimpse of the Sebastian Errazuriz capsule collection.

The Sebastian Errazuriz Limited Edition Capsule Collection retails at SGD 590 each at the Melissa MDREAMS Pop-Up Store in Wheelock Place Singapore.
