CYC’s aim was to create original prints that spoke of the Singapore experience. The brand settled on the red ‘Kopitiam’ chair littered with micro Singaporean icons – the ‘CHOPE!’ tissue packet, a stray cat, a curious Mynah bird, a foldable umbrella and empty beer cans.
For the HDB print, which is a quintessential Singaporean landmark regardless of race, language or religion, CYC added in details such as the ubiquitous bright green rubbish bin, potted plants, washed towels and teddy bears hung out on a line to dry.
The CYC story began in 1935 with the highest quality of tailoring and craftsmanship, admired by statesmen and connoisseurs alike. CYC specialises in made to measure shirts and suits for men and women, using only the finest fabrics from Europe. Their values, support of communities and people continue to inspire CYC to embrace the new while sustaining their valuable heritage.
