Though there are still restrictions for what we can do during this period in Singapore, I find joy in the smallest (yet biggest) of all things - That I’m alive, healthy and kicking. A year older is a year of learning, gaining experience to deal positively and/or bravely with whatever life brings forth, and to devote my time and energy to people who matter/deserve it. 😉🙌🏻 For this bday, I seek no extravagant gifts or meals. Fast check-in at reception, love the relaxing moment sipping wine by the pool, splashing fun in the pool, great Happy Hour drink pricing 🍺🍷🥃 , spacious room with (slight) view of the sea, good breakfast buffet spread 🍳🥐🥓🍲, splendid service by all the hotel staff who always had a smile and very personable that this staycation felt very much like home (but the more luxe and pampering version haha). . Despite being a local, Katong is still pretty foreign to me. I went around exploring the area and anyone would have definitely been spoilt with many food choices in the Katong area which are all within 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. I know I was! 😋😋 Having this staycation is the best alternative to travelling abroad, given the current #covid19 situation. 👾 . Here’s what I did, which I absolutely loved every single second spent and effort doing the following! 💖 . 🌟Organised and invited my company section of more than 1K people to a Breast Cancer Awareness talk (Thanks to the Management for their support!) 🌟Organised a Donation Drive in my company to raise funds for @bcfsg. 🌟Designed posters relating to the Awareness Talk and Donation Drive (Will share photos of it). 🌟Took part in the pinkribbon campaign by wearing pink and the @bcfsg 🎀 pin on Fridays. 🌟Raised awareness on BCAM and self-checks to my friends and colleagues, and through social media. 🌟Gifted each of my female loved ones and female team colleagues with the $2/$5 #BCFsg Pink Ribbon pin, which all proceeds goes to the charity organization itself. . This is a perfect way leading to the end of 2019, and I can’t wait for next year which will be the 10th year supporting this Cause that’s literally close to our hearts. 💖 .
